I'm Madesen, owner and operator of Furfilled Pet Services.

I’ve been working in the animal care industry for over 9 years now in a variety of ways - at a multi-animal boarding facility, a busy dog daycare, and the SPCA. I started Furfilled in order to offer valuable enrichment services to pet owners for their furry family members. I know that everyone has busy schedules, and truly take pleasure in being able to provide your pets with the extra attention that they deserve throughout the day!

Services

Private Walk

An individual walk around your neighbourhood to let your pup get some extra exercise during your busy workday.

* Additional dogs from the same household may be walked together for an additional charge.

Buddy Walk

Sometimes walks are better with a friend! We will perform some matchmaking magic to find the perfect buddy for your pup to walk with.

* Based on availability - buddies must be within the same neighbourhood or nearby.

Decompression Walk

A walk that fully allows your dog to just be a dog! Either off leash or on a long line, they are given freedom to do all the sniffing, digging, rolling and exploring that they want - things which are not always possible on regular walks in a busy city or neighbourhood. Decompression walks can be especially beneficial to reactive dogs and dogs who struggle with fear, stress or anxiety.

* Travel time not included - a full 60 minutes are spent on the walk.

Group Hike

A 60 minute off leash adventure at a park or trail system near you. Our hiking groups are kept small (no more than 5-6 dogs), in order to create a close bond and keep everyone safe and happy! Groups are matched by personality and location.

* Travel time not included - a full 60 minutes are spent on the hike.

* Includes a water refresh and quick towel off (if required) once they get back home!

Drop-In

A quick visit with your pet - whatever species they may be! Can be used for various purposes such as feeding, play time, a short walk, administering medication, litter clean-up, etc.

* Time spent can be extended for an additional charge.

Nail Trim

Nail trims are stressful for some pets - that's why we come to you! No need to pack up and go anywhere, and your pet gets to remain in a familiar environment.

* We ask that another person be home during the nail trim in case we need assistance holding your pet.

FAQ

Furfilled requires the following:

All dogs must be up to date on their DHPP/DAPP and Rabies vaccinations, and we recommend Bordetella and Leptospirosis vaccinations as well. Proof must be provided.

All dogs must be spayed/neutered to participate in group hikes. They may be intact for individual services.

Dogs registering for group hikes must be dog-friendly and have recall skills.

We do not have any breed, size, or age restrictions.

Yes!

We know that everyone wants to be kept in the loop on what their pets are up to. We post photos/videos on Furfilled' Instagram and Facebook pages, and can also send you updates directly. Anything concerning will be communicated immediately so that we can decide on the next steps.

A meet and greet is an important first step!

An initial meet and greet is the first step to beginning services.

During a meet and greet, we will travel to your home to meet you and your pet(s). This allows us to start forming a relationship in person, and for us to get an idea of your pet's personality. We will discuss their habits, behaviours, medical concerns - anything and everything that is important for us to know and to decide what services will suit them best! There is no charge for a meet and greet.

Our cancellation policy is as follows:

We ask that you please notify us at least a day in advance if you will be cancelling a service. If we show up and were not notified that you no longer needed the service, the regular fee will be charged.

Services may need to be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are extreme.

For everyone's safety, we do sometimes need to adjust service bookings due to weather. In severe heat or cold, services will either be shortened or cancelled. Services may also need to be cancelled if there is heavy rain, snow, hail, etc. We always try to give as much notice as possible if the weather is nearing conditions where we would not be able to go ahead with a service.

As long as road conditions allow for safe travel, we can still drop by to let your dog(s) out for a short walk or pee break.

Payment requirements are as follows:

For walks, hikes, and drop-ins, payment must be received by the end of the day that the service occurred. There is also the option to pre-pay for up to a month's worth of recurring services.

Nail trims must be paid for in person at the end of the service.

Payment is accepted in cash or by e-transfer.

She's responsible, reliable, and has lots of love to give to your most important furry friends. I'll definitely be giving her a call next time I'll be out of town!
